Your DRN Comments

Hiya,

I remember you from a Dispute on the DRN a couple weeks ago, and I noticed you have made several comments in open disputes lately. I don't know if you are trying to help out as a volunteer or just join some new groups to get active, but I thought I would reach out. If you are wanting to be a DRN volunteer- I suggest you read The become a volunteer info First. and the page it links to. I would love for you to see volunteering at the DRN is a goal to work towards, but I'm going to be honest- right now I don't think you are quite ready to take on this responsibility. First- I think you need a bit more experience editing, maybe make an account and let people get to know you a bit. One of the other requirements is that you are able to analyze complex situations to find the dispute at its core and see viable solutions/compromises. Right now- I don't think you are ready for that. You're still having a bit of difficulty with some WP policies like WP:OR and WP:CONSENSUS although you are making progress! Finally, I'm a little concerned you may already have too much on your plate. Some of these disputes can take weeks to resolve- and you are already working on quite a few Space related articles and I see you started a Wikiproject. THat can take a lot of time to administrate and even more time to build, develop and get off the ground. So- thanks for the desire to help- I hope in time you come back to join the volunteer team, but I would like to strongly encourage you to get a bit more editing practice in first. Thanks! Nightenbelle (talk) 17:02, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

You asked if I had any advice on making Wikiprojects..... my advice is- don't. We have too many and they arn't super productive. But- that's 100% just my opinion. Nightenbelle (talk) 18:30, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

WikiProject Rocketry was marked as inactive a few days ago. I revived it a few days ago. But, articles that are part of it still say that it is inactive. What can I do to change that? 64.121.103.144 (talk) 00:41, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

To change what the WikiProject Rocketry banner says on article talk pages, it looks like you would need to undo this edit. — jmcgnh 01:38, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

I just revived WikiProject Rocketry, but so far, only one person has edited the project since I revived it. I've tried sending old member of it messages and send other people an ad I requested (below), but it does not work. How do I get old members to return to the revived project and new members to join?

Others listed as members may not be active on Misplaced Pages any longer(either due to being deceased, or just inactive) or may just no longer wish to participate in it. 331dot (talk) 19:53, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
But how do I tell users that edit articles in the project's scope to help effectively? I already tried telling them on their talk pages.

64.121.103.144 (talk) 19:57, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

You can't force volunteer editors to do anything. Editors may edit articles in your project's space without being interested in the project at all. Reviving the project without lining up some consensus to revive it from other interested editors may have been a mistake. — jmcgnh 01:07, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

My drafts keep getting rejected, declined, and deleted. The reasons were not enough sources, no or little secondary sources, and not being notable. How do I do better? 64.121.103.144 (talk) 23:26, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

There's no special need for an administrator to answer your question. Drafts often get declined for these reasons. The reviewers have expectations around tone, notability, reliable secondary sources – you won't be able to get a draft accepted without those essential elements. You will probably get to your goal of an accepted draft faster if you first spend considerable time improving existing articles and interacting with, and learning from, other editors when they don't agree with you. — jmcgnh 01:13, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Archive configuration

Please don't mess with other editors archiving setups. — jmcgnh 14:54, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Nor should you be adding templates to other editors' user pages as you did at User talk:N828335. It's not for you to decide whether an editor is retired, absent, or needs their archiving changed or updated.-- Jezebel's Ponyo 18:35, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

@Berrely: Can you make an ad for WikiProject Solar System? It should say Like to look at the moon and planets? Join WikiProject Solar System! 64.121.103.144 (talk) 15:41, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that in this edit to Motor Vehicles Tax in India, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~Oshwah~ 23:50, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Starship HLS

Sorry about the revert; I accidentally clicked the Twinkle rollback button. Tol | Talk | Contribs 00:21, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Use of the {current} template

I believe your addition of the {current} template is appropriate on Starship development history.

But it is not appropriate on the higher-level summary article SpaceX Starship, where you also added it.

Same idea is that we would not place {current} on the Premiership of Boris Johnson article just 'cause the Prime Minister of the UK is making a major policy announcement about covid vaccine public policy in the UK, but it might be appropriate to do so on COVID-19 vaccination in the United Kingdom article.

So I think you should remove the {current} tag from the SpaceX Starship article. Cheers. N2e (talk) 16:14, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

@N2e: I will remove the current template from SpaceX Starship as you asked.
