Kevin Pereira (December 28, 1982) is co-host of G4's Attack of the Show! (formerly The Screen Savers) with Olivia Munn.
Kevin was born in San Leandro, California. His mother, Maite Pereira, is an elementary school teacher in Emeryville, California. While at high school, Pereira hosted Irrelevent Audio under the pseudonym Captain Abraham. The show featured many prank calls and was hosted on such gaming sites as Penny Arcade and ShugaShack (now ShackNews); it later evolved into Pointless TV, and finally LickMySweaty.com.
He describes himself as a "history buff", "especially about World War II", and also a collector of war antiques. His MySpace states that he is interested in Hentai, among other things.
His breakout onto the scene of showbiz was on Nickelodeon's "Are You Afraid of the Dark?," which he played a minor roll in as the brother of the protagonist. He would also showcase his acting talent in Nickelodeon's short-lived mystery show Shelby Woo. After departing with Nickelodeon, he would concentrate on school, reemerging with G4 only a few years after graduating High School.
In high school, he was very active on the physical scene as well as in theater, participating in the school's basketball and soccer teams, track and field, and briefly playing football as half back on his school's freshmen team. He instead decided to pursue a career in television, attending the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco, where he studied screenwriting and film production. He soon dropped out of school (which he jokes about often on the show), and enrolled at the Epicurean School of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles. He quit after one semester, and soon found his way to G4.
Pereira has hosted or been a guest on many other programs besides Attack of the Show!, including:
