Taimak (born Taimak Guarriello on June 24, 1964) is an American actor and martial artist. Born to an Italian father and African American mother, Taimak has studied Chinese goju, goju-ryu, taekwondo and jujitsu. He has acted in more than 10 films, his first and most prominent being 1985's The Last Dragon.
Cast in The Last Dragon because of his martial arts skills, Taimak had no prior acting training or experience, and was taught on set. He later appeared as the lead male in Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile" music video, and also played the role of a would-be rapist on an episode of the TV show A Different World. Taimak has also worked as a personal trainer of martial arts to celebrities such as Madonna.
