Paola Amadei is the Italian ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain since January 2020. From June 2018 to January 2020, she was head of Cabinet to the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs. Minister Plenipotentiary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Rome. She was the Ambassador, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Eritrea from 2008-2011.

Amadei was also the Italian ambassador to Oman from 24 September 2012 – 1 March 2016.
