Going Commando

The VfD is over, and the article was kept (Misplaced Pages:Votes for deletion/Going Commando). I believe you now owe us a Sienfeld quote :-) --RoySmith 22:54, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Album info

I was at one point asked by someone (dbenbenn or someone like that) to consider adding to the album project some albums related to one of the artists I have edited info on to the album project. My original reaction was that I am so busy trying to get the artists described that I thought the idea of doing album info projects would just be replicating All Music Guide. However, it dawns on me that in some cases All Music Guide might not even list all the personnel (or any) for some albums, while a person owning the album can fill in the info (thus the Misplaced Pages album project may fill a void in certain cases, and help fill in a detail when albums are listed in artist stories such as the type I have worked on). I'm writing you because I clicked on a link to an album in a Tanya Donelly article I edited and saw you had done the album info work. Could you give me any advice on the subject of how to do these in a form consistent with yours or does it not matter? Yours is the first one I've actually looked at, for Whiskey Tango Ghosts. Did you own the album involved and scan the photo? Do you go from album liner notes for the info? Emerman 02:06, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Doobie Brothers "On Our Way Up"

A person emailed the Helpdesk- they'd been unable to confirm that the Doobie Brothers ever released that album. The only evidence I could find was an mp3.com listing for downloading it. Could you provide a source or something? --maru (talk) contribs 06:22, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

Harry Chapin albums

I note that you provided the album cover for "Portrait Gallery" (and maybe other Harry Chapin albums?). I have just created articles on two of Harry's 'missing' albums and that included uploading the album covers. These I produced at 200x200 pixels and I think that they look good. I felt that your version was a little fuzzy — but I wanted to check with you before I uploaded a crisper alternative. Maybe I am not used to the Misplaced Pages thing yet (I am a three-day old Wikipedian!) — but I just thought it would be polite to mention it to you before doing it! Domestic Science Club

I see that you've got Domestic Science Club on your list of TODO. Although I'm a fan (I'm the owner of dixie-chicks.com), I'm actually in the process of removing the links to DSC from the Dixie Chicks and Sara Hickman pages based on discussion on the Dixie Chicks page. But if you put together a page for DSC, I'd say please feel free to re-link it! --Robertb-dc 23:23, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Ok, looking at Sara Hickman's article, I see that Domestic Science Club is linkable as an album title. I left the link, but clarified the Dixie Chicks relationship a bit. --Robertb-dc 23:26, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Please do not add nonsense to Misplaced Pages; it is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. --DeLarge 16:01, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

My edit was not vandalism. I corrected a spelling error. DCEdwards1966 16:43, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Whoops. I actually reverted to your version to eliminate the vandalism, then clicked the wrong user's talk page link when posting the warning. Sorry about that. --DeLarge 16:47, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
