:::{{re|RegentsPark}} ok thank you. One more thing, the section Miri abd Piri. If you read that section, you will see that the majority of the content is all about different subject called Bhakti. Blue warning icon Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Ranjit Singh. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Misplaced Pages this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Misplaced Pages is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

@MoonlightVector:

I haven't been in an edit war but just making fixes to the page. There was one editor Ar1a1yan from Oct 13th who removed considerable amount of content from the page. Like this information was removed. Upon his birth, he was named Buddh Singh after his ancestor who was first in line to take Amrit Sanchaar. The child's name was later changed to Ranjit (literally, "victor in battle") Singh ("lion") by his father to commemorate his army's victory over the Muslim Chatha chieftain Pir Muhammad.. So I was readding information removed by other editor. Also Aj Indiana is using unreliable source to consider Sansi family as the family of Ranjit Singh. He removed the content earlier from Sandhiawala Jat along with reference by an historian and changed it to Sansi. Neither Sansi nor Sandhiawala should be on the article as its a very disputed subject. Like you can read this information here by a researcher ]. Please let me know if you are ok with me adding the changes that was removed above by other editor. MehmoodS (talk) 13:29, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Yes im ok, I requested for topic-Sanctions against them so they will not be able to edit. The page might be EC'd soon so you might have to request edits. MoonlightVector 14:53, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
Ok it got AC'd instead. MoonlightVector 14:54, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
@MoonlightVector: please let me know Vector. Thanks.
@MoonlightVector: I will see if i am able to but if not then i would like to request you to add the change instead if you are ok with it. Thanks Vector. MehmoodS (talk) 14:56, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
@MoonlightVector: nope. Not able to edit. Can you please make the addition and change. This below needs to be added under Early life after line ending with Raja Gajpat Singh of Jind.
@MehmoodS: If you read WP:ER you can see that indeed you can request it. Im not really qualified to add stuff because I mostly do stuff outside of editing.

Upon his birth he was named Buddh Singh after his ancestor who was first in line to take Amrit Sanchaar. The child's name was changed to Ranjit (literally, "victor in battle") Singh ("lion") by his father to commemorate his army's victory over the Muslim Chatha chieftain Pir Muhammad.
And the other change should be the removal of Sansi Family. It should just say Maharaja Ranjit Singh was born on 13 November 1780 to Maha Singh and Raj Kaur in Gujranwala, Punjab region, India (present-day Punjab, Pakistan)..
That's all Vector. Please let me know if you are ok with changes. MehmoodS (talk) 15:09, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Sikhism, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. RegentsPark (comment) 00:32, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

@RegentsPark: Apologies, I will make a note of it. But looks like you also reverted content i added that was removed by previous editor such as "The religion developed and evolved in times of religious persecution, gaining converts from both Hinduism and Islam. This bold content was removed by editor Ayushmaan Chakrabarti. Also this change was also edited/removed by another user going against the sources Sikhism is monotheistic that advocates the belief in One God and is signified by the term Ik Onkar religion.. Are you ok with me adding this edits back in? MehmoodS (talk) 00:52, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
If the source says so, then no worries. About the rest, generally, if you're removing sources you should explain why on the talk page. And, try to use academic sources and not user generated ones like punjabipedia!--RegentsPark (comment) 01:01, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
@RegentsPark: ok thank you. One more thing, the section Miri abd Piri. If you read that section, you will see that the majority of the content is all about different subject called Bhakti. And it has nothing to do with the section called Miri and Piri. So shouldn't the content not associated with the section be removed? Please advise. MehmoodS (talk) 01:06, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
