The Charlotte High School (also known as the Punta Gorda High School) is a historic school in Punta Gorda, Florida, United States. It is located at 1250 Cooper Street. On December 12, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
On August 13, 2004, Hurricane Charley, a Category 4 hurricane hit the Punta Gorda area causing major damage to the high school. Despite the severe damage the third story building sustained, it was decided to try to save the historical landmark. It is set to be rebuilt within the next decade.
The History Channel's inaugural Save Our History Grant was awarded in 2005 to the Charlotte County Historical Society, in partnership with high school students from Charlotte High School and Port Charlotte High School.
