Welcome to RL0919's talk page. I will generally respond here to comments that are posted here, rather than replying via your talk page (or the article's talk page, if you are writing to me here about an article), so you may want to watch this page until you are responded to, or let me know where specifically you'd prefer the reply. |

- Consensus has been reached to delete all books in the book namespace. There was rough consensus that the deleted books should still be available on request at WP:REFUND even after the namespace is removed.
- An RfC is open to discuss the next steps following a trial which automatically applied pending changes to TFAs.
- IP addresses of unregistered users are to be hidden from everyone. There is a rough draft of how IP addresses may be shown to users who need to see them. This currently details allowing administrators, checkusers, stewards and those with a new usergroup to view the full IP address of unregistered users. Editors with at least 500 edits and an account over a year old will be able to see all but the end of the IP address in the proposal. The ability to see the IP addresses hidden behind the mask would be dependent on agreeing to not share the parts of the IP address they can see with those who do not have access to the same information. Accessing part of or the full IP address of a masked editor would also be logged. Comments on the draft are being welcomed at the talk page.
- The community authorised COVID-19 general sanctions have been superseded by the COVID-19 discretionary sanctions following a motion at a case request. Alerts given and sanctions placed under the community authorised general sanctions are now considered alerts for and sanctions under the new discretionary sanctions.

Deletion of a user space
Can you delete User:Lazy-restless/Kalki Avatar and Muhammad (book)? This article was being created by now a topic banned serial sock-puppeteer and even the last edits to this space were made by him in violation of this block. Unlikely anyone else will take interest in this userpace, so I am sure it is 100% alright to delete it. Aman Kumar Goel 12:19, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- It appears that another admin already deleted it, so there you go. --RL0919 (talk) 15:30, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:IBM and the Holocaust (cover).jpg
Thanks for uploading File:IBM and the Holocaust (cover).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:39, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

- An RfC is open to add a delay of one week from nomination to deletion for G13 speedy deletions.
- Last week all wikis were very slow or not accessible for 30 minutes. This was due to server lag caused by regenerating dynamic lists on the Russian Wikinews after a large bulk import. (T287380)
- Following an amendment request, the committee has clarified that the Talk page exception to the 500/30 rule in remedy 5 of the Palestine-Israel articles 4 case does not apply to requested move discussions.
- You can vote for candidates in the 2021 Board of Trustees elections from 4 August to 17 August. Four community elected seats are up for election.

Deletion review for Cleckheaton bus station
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Cleckheaton bus station. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. –Davey2010 22:30, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
No confusion
Since you pinged me as you were closing an AfD, and I can no longer comment there, I will comment here. No, I was not confused about your relisting. I was making a statement that paid no attention to the nomintor's opinion or your relisting of it. I simply commented on how the AfD could proceed. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:40, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- No problem, I just wanted to make sure anyone seeing that I closed the AfD did not believe I had also participated in it in a way that violated WP:INVOLVED. --RL0919 (talk) 19:42, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, extended confirmed protection may be used preemptively on certain high-risk templates.
- Following a discussion at the Village Pump, there is consensus to treat discord logs the same as IRC logs. This means that discord logs will be oversighted if posted onwiki.
- DiscussionTools has superseded Enterprisey's reply-link script. Editors may switch using the "Discussion tools" checkbox under Preferences → Beta features.
- A motion has standardised the 500/30 (extended confirmed) restrictions placed by the Arbitration Committee. The standardised restriction is now listed in the Arbitration Committee's procedures.
- Following the closure of the Iranian politics case, standard discretionary sanctions are authorized for all edits about, and all pages related to, post-1978 Iranian politics, broadly construed.
- The Arbitration Committee encourages uninvolved administrators to use the discretionary sanctions procedure in topic areas where it is authorised to facilitate consensus in RfCs. This includes, but is not limited to, enforcing sectioned comments, word/diff limits and moratoriums on a particular topic from being brought in an RfC for up to a year.
- Editors have approved expanding the trial of Growth Features from 2% of new accounts to 25%, and the share of newcomers getting mentorship from 2% to 5%. Experienced editors are invited to add themselves to the mentor list.
- The community consultation phase of the 2021 CheckUser and Oversight appointments process is open for editors to provide comments and ask questions to candidates.

Rai Marchan
I was browsing Melbourne Victory's Misplaced Pages page and I went to create a page for Rai Marchan.
I can't see the previous article, perhaps it was lacking detail? Marchan previously played for FC Andorra which is a professional football club in Spain, his debut is listed on their website https://www.fcandorra.com/en/jugador/rai-marchan/ - I don't see why his page should not exist given this and naturally he will play for Melbourne Victory in a month or less time, surely this page can be recreated? --Simba1409 (talk) 21:53, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
- His previous play for FC Andorra and his signing with the Melbourne Victory were both mentioned in the previous article, but did not sway the (few) participants in the discussion at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Rai Marchán. It would probably make more sense to recreate the page after he has actually played in a match for Melbourne. --RL0919 (talk) 16:05, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- No worries, I'll wait until after his first game then. Cheers. --Simba1409 (talk) 06:10, 7 October 2021 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add |
Administrators' newsletter – December 2021
News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2021).
- Unregistered editors using the mobile website are now able to receive notices to indicate they have talk page messages. The notice looks similar to what is already present on desktop, and will be displayed on when viewing any page except mainspace and when editing any page. (T284642)
- The limit on the number of emails a user can send per day has been made global instead of per-wiki to help prevent abuse. (T293866)
- Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee Elections is open until 23:59, 06 December 2021 (UTC).
- The already authorized standard discretionary sanctions for all pages relating to the Horn of Africa (defined as including Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and adjoining areas if involved in related disputes), broadly construed, have been made permanent.

Administrators will no longer be autopatrolled
A recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. This will be implemented the week of December 13th, but if you wish to self-assign you may do so now. To find out when the change has gone live or if you have any questions please visit the Administrator's Noticeboard. 20:06, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
Village of Charlie Creek
Would you reconsider the delete on this one? Community center, plus a church, plus a public utility all by the name Charlie Creek. Thank YouSuper (talk) 03:25, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Supercopone: The attributes you describe are not considered indicators of notability under our guidelines for notability of geographic features or under our general notability guideline. Additionally, you made this argument during the deletion discussion, and the other participants apparently did not consider it to be a good reason to keep the article. So unfortunately, no, I do not see a reason to change my close of this discussion. --RL0919 (talk) 04:39, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

William Henry Farrow
Was wondering if you would be willing to include this in the Hoax Museum collection, which can only be done with admin tools. Instructions at Misplaced Pages:List of hoaxes on Misplaced Pages in the collapse green box, looks pretty easy. If you add it to Misplaced Pages:List of hoaxes on Misplaced Pages/William Henry Farrow I should be able to do the rest adding to the table on the main page. Would also like to determine the exact article creation date. -- GreenC 04:51, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- @GreenC: As you indicate, adding an entry to the list of hoaxes does not require admin intervention, so I leave that up to you or others. What I can do for you as an admin is provide the otherwise inaccessible fields included on the hoax list: timestamp for the creation of the article was 19:58, 29 December 2006, and the size in bytes at last edit was 1,640 bytes. --RL0919 (talk) 04:57, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
