Carlinhos Brown is a Brazilian musician from Salvador, Bahia. He took the surname Brown in tribute to James Brown. His music is a mixture of Brazilian and rock and soul music, with clear echoes of The Beatles. Apart from his solo work, he has collaborated with Marisa Monte.
