Wats up with changing the userboxes..Your bot has made them more ugly.We prefer to see the userboxes that we are using and not the ugly ones you left on our page which you need to redirect to get to the original like what you did to these templates

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I Have Added A Couple Of Photos Which Are Not From The Internet And Are Private So Before You Try To Edit Those Photos Or Brand Them As Stolen ASK ME.Thanx.. Cometstyles 13:36, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

You must specify who created the photos. Saying that a photo "is the property of ...." is meaningless, especially when you credit the photo to somebody in the photo. Erik Swanson 11:23, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Rugby union/Assessment

Hey, I see that you have been editing and adding the {{WikiProject Rugby union}} template to rugby talk pages. It's great that you are willing to help out with the assessment of rugby related pages. Unfortunately though many of your assessments have not been consistent with those of others as per the assessment page of the Wikiproject RU. Before making any more changes to article assessments could you please visit the assessment page here and read the criteria for difference article quality and importance ratings. If you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page, as well, if you disagree with some of the assessment and importance standards please discuss this at the appropriate talk page here. Thanks. - Shudda 00:27, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Fiji

Hi there! Thank you so much for your nice note on my talk page. I'll return the compliment - for a couple of years I was virtually the only person writing about Fiji-related topics. Xorkl000, Girmitya, and Laulad have come on board, and I'm pleased to see you here now. Why don't you sign up for the WikiProject Fiji? Just click on the link and sign up. We'd love to have you as part of the team. David Cannon 14:13, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Indo-Fijian?

Hi there! Yes, I know that racial/ethnic/cultural labelling is a sensitive emotional issues. With respect to Fijian citizens of Indian descent, I have encountered some passionate arguments on both sides of this question. I can sympathize, because we have a similar debate in New Zealand about Pakeha/European/Caucasian/No label, a debate that generates more heat than light, in my opinion. Having said that, Misplaced Pages is strictly committed to a Neutral Point of View. I would encourage you to read it carefully. In brief, that precludes us from labelling on the basis of individual preference. Terms like Indo-Fijian, Fiji Indian, and Indian Fijian are all used in scholarly academic journals. Under our referencing and verifiability policies, we use terms that can be sourced. It's not possible to please everybody, period. From Misplaced Pages's point of view, all such labels are purely for the purpose of identification. Sorry I cannot do anything about that. David Cannon 12:04, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry

I just wish to apoligize for misleading people. Sorry. Thanks That myspace is not mine, someone else had made it and thats why I thought I should ask.

Rebecca Singh

Hi there! Do you know whether or not Rebecca Singh is any relation to Chelsea Singh, whom I've seen reading the news on Fiji Television? David Cannon 23:24, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for giving me Rebecca's e-mail address. User:Girmitya says that she is indeed Chelsea's sister, but I might still write to her for some other info. Thanks a lot. David Cannon 12:02, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
While I am aware that Rebecca Singh does have a sister named Chelsea, I have also noticed that the newsreader in question was credited on screen as "Chelsey" while Rebecca's sister spells her name "Chelsea"... after the place in England her mother is from. This is either a typo, or more likely a very common last name!
I'm sure it was "Chelsea Singh" (with the A) that I saw on Fiji Television. I'll check again next time I see her. At any rate, User:Girmitya tells me that she is indeed Rebecca's sister. David Cannon 07:43, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

WP:RU Announcement template

Hi, thought you may be interested in incorporating this template; {{WPRU Announcements}} on your use page. I'm hoping it will help members of WP:RU better co-ordinate and communicate. Thanks. - Shudda 05:00, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

List of All Blacks

Hey, I looked at your additions. Good stuff. Only thing is Umaga did debut in 1997 (see his profile here). I have added the first 200 All Blacks, some links need to be disambiguated (numbers 175 - 200 to be precise). I've worked a way to add the info reasonably efficiently. Will add the rest this week. - Shudda 22:03, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Shaun Perry

Cheers for that ... there are a few players on your page I would contend being in the world XV: Justin Harrison? Sione Lauaki? Rupeni? (he's well passed his best) Joe Rokocoko? (he's good but he's not quite Sivivatu or Tuqiri) but that's just my opinion. blablabla ET has the passion of 1000 suns 23:49, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Hilary Duff

You may want the Template:sprotect2 on Hilary Duff's page, but its not doing much to scare off any IP vandals, unless it's actually semi-protected. Quasyboy 13:50, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

If you want you can request for semi-protection at WP:RFPP, I've requested twice already within the last two months. Or you can wait a couple of hours until things get really out of hand. But I don't just dont why so many people out there hate her, I am just in LOVE with her with everything that she has done in career. Quasyboy 14:04, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Exactly, Dude, Exactly. That's the exact reason why I love her too. What you favorite Hilary song and movie? Quasyboy 14:14 4 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Favorite song: There are just so many to choose from but I'm going to have to go with, "The Getaway". I have alot more favorite songs believe me.
  • Favorite movie: A Cinderella Story.
And by the way, inculde your username in this category that I just created: Category:Wikipedians who listen to Hilary Duff.

No biting newbies!

Please be careful not to inadvertently bite newcomers when you tag articles for deletion. The author of the article you tagged (David A. Steinberg) was a new user and did not have time to fully develop the article. You should encourage newcomers to contribute and become productive editors, so please welcome them warmly. Thank you. - crz crztalk 20:35, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Other wikis

Hi there! I tried to access the two wikis you told me about. Encyclopedia Dramatica was blocked by my internet filter which prevents access to porn. I could not find Opencycle, but there are hundreds, if not thousands, of projects operating on the same software (Mediawiki 6.0, I think) as wikipedia, which is publicly available under a free license. And yes, there are also numerous sites "forks" and "mirrors"; forks copy Misplaced Pages content, then edit it to suit themselves (Wikinfo is the most famous successful of these), while mirrors just copy the content and display it, read-only. What you found could be one of those. David Cannon 12:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Biting newbies

This was not vandalism – . While leaving edit-summaries like these – , you might be scaring off potential users of Misplaced Pages; instead try reasoning with the user. Please don't do it again. Regards, — Nearly Headless Nick 11:17, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Your note on User talk:VAeagle

I noticed the note you left for this user about his article, Rob petrucelli. Have you seen the list of user talk templates at WP:UTM? Many of these messages are very handy for letting people know why their articles may be deleted. They have been developed to provide useful, specific explanations for the most common cases. Cheers, FreplySpang 19:13, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Intro

It's better to keep an intro simple and save details for later in the article, which is what I was trying to do. But it really isn't that important, I suppose. Everyking 05:15, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I'll research those two ministers and write their bios. BTW, I want to thank you for the articles you've written. I feel a lot less lonely in this department now! David Cannon 01:13, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Hugh Hefner article

YOU are accusing ME of vandalizing a page! How dare you? Are you aware of how many obvious mistakes were in that article? SOMEBODY vandalized it long before I got there.. The list of mistakes in the article were (are?) endless....eg "Playgirl" instead of Playboy, 1,200,000 instead of 5,200,000, 1959 instead of 1989, 1959 instead of 1979,"Playboy's Penthouse" instead of Playboy After Dark,"Playboy Rock Festival" instead of Playboy Jazz Festival.. AND MANY MORE. Be happy that I corrected SOME mistakes. (or do you prefer that the article remain as cancer-riddled with errors as it probably still is. In which case I would question whose side are you really on...?) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Micky52 (talkcontribs) 04:10, 12 January 2007 (UTC).

Updating (Nazhat Shameem, Shaista Shameem, etc)

Hi there! Sure thing, I'll have a look at your Shaista Shameem and Fiji Human Rights Commission articles. I'll have a quick look now, but will probably leave any major additions till tomorrow, as it's now 2.10 a.m. and I can hardly keep my eyes open. But I promise you I won't forget!

BTW, I'm so glad you are here! For three years, almost all Fiji-related articles were created by me and there were times when I felt lonely. Having you on board makes it feel so much more like a team effort. I look forward to seeing a lot more of your good work! David Cannon 13:12, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Vidya Balan

i think your Hindi spelling of Vidya is wrong.if U spell her name its pronounced as "Vidha".Pliz Try 2 fix it ..OK.. --Cometstyles 15:13, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

No Actually it is correct. I guess you are confusing विद्या with विधा, or more specifically द्य (dya) with (dha). It is an uncommon letter in hindi. another example is Dhristadyumna hindi: धृष्टद्युम्न. Probably you got confused because of small hindi font. try enlarging them and you will notice the difference. WikiProject Fiji Rugby

Hey, you may want to consider making this a "work group" within WP:RU instead of a new wiki-project. You may find it difficult to attract enough people to WikiProject Fiji Rugby, but if you create a work-group within WP:RU you may find it easier to co-ordinate Fiji Rugby tasks. I would recommend looking at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Biography; they have several work groups, you can copy their format. Maybe also mention creating a work group at the WP:RU talk page. - Shudda 06:47, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

You should create this workgroup. - Shudda 05:26, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Nasoni Roko

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Nasoni Roko, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Fang Aili 04:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually CometStyles, I can understand why that page was put up for deletion. It was not written properly, and made it hard for people to know exactly who he is. You may want to refrain from taking text straight from teivovo.com like you did there though. It is almost certainly considered plagiarism, it's much better to summarise the article in your own words. - Shudda 05:18, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Nasoni Roko (again)

This article I created is of notability and I hope that you try 2 find out about the Articles you try 2 delete by asking the person who created it rather then sending it 2 Articles for Deletion without prior notice and Please dont bite the newbies..Ciao..ø~Cometstyles~ø

Actually, I didn't AfD it, I added the prod tag, as noted above. And it looks fine now; thank you for improving it. --Fang Aili 14:31, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Reviewing

Sure! I'm happy to review your work.. Are there any particular articles you want me to review, or do you want me just to evaluate your work in general? I'll get around to it later today or tomorrow at the latest:-) David Cannon 20:55, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Fiji Rugby work group

I have created the work group. You can access by this shortcut WP:RUFR. The work group will not succeed unless you attract some members to the group though. I did all this work so can you do that for me? I recommend you post information at the WP:RU talk page, and put it up in the news section on the project's page as well. You may want to ask people at WikiProject Fiji also. The last thing I'd try is to ask anyone that has edited major Fijian rugby articles, such as Rugby union in Fiji (which is the best RU related Fiji article out there at the moment). If you manage to get five members I'll join the group as the sixth. Good luck! - Shudda 03:19, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

A Class standards

I don't know if it's worth doing it at the moment. 'A Class' basically means very close to FA standard, I don't know if any of our GA articles are there yet. Most other projects have some sort of peer review system to determine A class articles. I don't think WK:RU is active enough to do that though. I think we should just leave it for now. - Shudda 23:24, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Assessment standards

It seems many of your assessments do not conform to the assessment standards laid out by WP:RU. You can view them here. Please go through the assessment log and change the articles from the wrong class (there are far too many top class, it's crazy). If we have 80%of the articles top class then how are we supposed to prioritise the articles we edit? Please go through and check your assessments to the standards set out by WP:RU. - Shudda 23:47, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Crusaders peer review

Hi, I've requested a peer review for Crusaders. Could everyone please take a look and help out? I'm trying to get the article up to Featured Article standard, and would like any feedback I can get. You can add any comments here. Thanks a lot! - Shudda 03:33, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Mike Tindall

Why did you revert my changes on Mike Tindall? He always played outside Greenwood. Greenwood had a superstition about the 13 shirt, that's why he always wore it - but whenever they lined up for first phase ball Greenwood was at inside centre and Mike Tindall was at outside centre.

Check the tapes.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Blues logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Blues logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Vunivalu of Bau

Hi there Cometstyles, I've noticed your workand have decided to join the fray of articles going around regarding Fiji. While my area of interest is Rotuma in particular, I've recently noticed some gaps that I thought should be filled. If you look at my contributions I've recently spent some time writing articles about the various Vunivalu of Bau, mainly writing from text sources by Sam Berwick. I realise that this is a little one sided so invite your critiques.

I bring the following to you because i realise your knowledge of fijian nobles may be (probably) much greater than my own. I noticed that for the table on the Vunivalu of Bau page, there are no listed Vunivalu between Penaia Kadavulevu and George Cakobau. Would it be so presumptuous that I should not include in the list Ratu Popi Seniloli, g/son of the Tui Viti Cakobau, which in my book is listed as the next Vunivalu after his cousin Penaia and/or list his supposed successor Tevita Naulivou (elder brother of George Cakobau).

I realise the contentiousness of this, considering Popi is seemingly quite low in terms of order of precedence to have inherited the Vunivalu from his cousin, when he was the son of Cakobau's 3rd son Joseva Celua. However, unless Popi inherited the Vunivalu, neither would have George Cakobau, the last Vunivalu listed and Popi's son. Please give me your thoughts on the matter. Remember not to feed the troll...

Hello Cometstyles, thank you for watching my talk page! Unfortunately many trolls come and stop by my page but I learn its best to "walk it off" as they say ;). I noticed the comments you left on his talk page...I appreciate your concern however, remember this great little saying: Don't feed the trolls! Many of these vandals are looking for attention or trying to disrupt Misplaced Pages to make a point. In order to slow down such wrong doing or prevent it, one must not encourage such acts to receive attention. Of course it is important to report abuse but its better done by simply reverting, bringing to administrative attention, and then ignoring it. Keep up the good work and remember, just don't feed a troll ;)...¤~Persian Poet Gal 03:22, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I highly recommend you add the "Fiji-work-group=yes" tag to the {{WikiProject Rugby union}} banner in the Fiji related articles. May attract some more people to join the work group. It's easy to add, for example:

Yeah but in the ""Filmography" section it doesnt say anything about"chronological order" which means that for films they can be in any order and its prefered that it be in reverse-chrono order because people prefer to know which movie an actor would be in the following years ON TOP rather than scrolling down to the page to find out and anywayz its better if you ask an Admin b4 making such edits because Vandalism by anons are not tolerated.--Cometstyles 15:04, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
WP:LOW is quite clear. The "Ordering" section refers to all lists of works, including filmographies. Please acquant yourself with all of the WP:MOS before further editing. You should also read Misplaced Pages:Vandalism to learn what exactly constitutes vandalism.
