The 8th local elections will be held in South Korea on 1 June 2022. These elections come after the presidential election of March 2022, and will coincide with the by-elections for the vacant seats in the National Assembly. It is the first nationwide election under President Yoon Suk-yeol after he takes office on 10 May.

Process

Citizens born before 2 June 2004 have the right to vote and the right to be elected.
