Your submission at Articles for creation: Mark Bloch (December 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by George.Edward.C was: This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing, so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia.
What you can do: Add citations (see Misplaced Pages:Referencing for beginners) to secondary reliable sources that are entirely independent of the subject. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved. Your submission at Articles for creation: Mark Bloch (March 20)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Tokyogirl79 was: This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms, that are designed to promote or show-off the subject. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:30, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 22

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Larry Miller (artist), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Joe Jones. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:46, 22 July 2016 (UTC)

Undelete notice request for July 22

Is this article within standards now? If so can we remove the Deletion notice. Also I fixed the link pointing to the disambiguation page Joe Jones. Thanks. PS If these is anything left to be desired, please let me know here and I can clean it up.

Misplaced Pages and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello Iochone, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. All or some of your addition(s) to Alison Knowles has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Misplaced Pages, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:31, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Jerrold Mundis

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jerrold Mundis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Misplaced Pages:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 06:12, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Misplaced Pages as a "soapbox" are against Misplaced Pages policy and not permitted; Misplaced Pages articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Misplaced Pages. Thank you. The subject of the article may well be notable but someone would need to create an article that demonstrates notability by means of reliable independent references and without promotional language. If you feel unable to do this, please leave the task for others. If you feel you can do it, then please use Draft space for your next attempt. Deb (talk) 09:14, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Jerrold_Mundis

There are a lot of things you don't seem to have grasped. You haven't formatted your citations properly - see Misplaced Pages:Citing sources, but in any case only one of them - this one is of any value in terms of demonstrating notability. You've used "weasel words" and "peacock terms" - see Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style/Words to watch. In other words, you need to figure out how to write a Misplaced Pages article before you try and write one. But by all means submit the draft for review, and then you will get comments from other experienced contributors as well as from me. Unfortunately, in its present state, there's no chance of it being accepted. Deb (talk) 17:40, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

Thank you so much. I will keep working on the draft.

among the things to be aware of: the library summary was apparently copied from his own publicity -- yes, libraries , and OCLC, do sometimes fact do that as a way of providing"information" without having to think about it -- or verify it. DGG ( talk ) 00:27, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Concern regarding Draft:Jerrold Mundis

Information icon Hello, Iochone. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Jerrold Mundis, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Draft space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for article space.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion under CSD G13. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available here.

Thank you for your submission to Misplaced Pages. Bot0612 (talk) 11:09, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Jerrold Mundis

Hello, Iochone. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Jerrold Mundis".

In accordance with our policy that Misplaced Pages is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Misplaced Pages, and happy editing. Liz 20:30, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Jerrold Mundis (July 11)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by HitroMilanese were: This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources. This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Misplaced Pages article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Misplaced Pages. The comment the reviewer left was: Most of the presented sources are authored by the subject himself. Please see WP:GNG and WP:RS and introduce references accordingly. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved. Hitro talk 09:39, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Jerrold Mundis (July 28)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Cerebellum was: This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. The comment the reviewer left was: I think you've introduced reliable sources that demonstrate notability. Now the main problem is the style. There is some unencyclopedic language, such as "helping people gain a happier and more prosperous relationship with money", and the lengthy quotes in "Debt management expertise" - i recommend removing those. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved. Copying within Misplaced Pages

Smile emoji Hi Iochone! Thank you for your edits to Mythopoetic men's movement. It looks like you've copied or moved text from one or more pages into that page, and while you are welcome to re-use the content, Misplaced Pages's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Misplaced Pages, this is supplied in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from ]; see that page's history for attribution. If you've copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Misplaced Pages:Copying within Misplaced Pages. Thanks! DanCherek (talk) 15:11, 13 August 2021 (UTC)

Copying within Misplaced Pages requires attribution (second request)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you copied or moved text from Readymades of Marcel Duchamp into Conceptual art. While you are welcome to re-use Misplaced Pages's content, here or elsewhere, Misplaced Pages's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Misplaced Pages, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from ]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Misplaced Pages:Copying within Misplaced Pages. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 17:16, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
