The band did not form after 9/11
Court documents from when Matt sued the band show that Matt and Gerard started the band on or before 1 September 2001. He has also claimed that a lot of the band history is made up lies to make them look better. So this would seem to support this fact.
I'd recommend someone making serious changes to the paragraph detailing the beginnings of the band. Or at least to mention at the beginning that there is evidence to suggest the band was formed before 9/11.
Not sure if I can link to the court document, but a simple google search will show it for you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.237.83.253 (talk) 11:10, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- I have tried a simple google search and can not find anything about this. I know this is a 7 year old post but would you care to elaborate? 58.168.53.177 (talk) 13:04, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
- This isn't true at all. Gerard has clearly stated countless times that 9/11 inspired the beginning of the bad. Its in life on the murder scene and probably a million articles. VeroaP23 (talk) 13:38, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
Gerard’s pronouns
As I understand it, Gerard Way goes by they/them, this article should probably reflect that 2001:569:BB22:1100:896B:5C15:1EB1:1069 (talk) 00:01, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
