Tom Butler (born April 9, 1944 in Huntsville, Alabama) is a state senator in the Alabama Senate. He is a member of the Democratic party serving his fourth term in the senate representing the second district. Previously he served 12 years (1982 - 1994) in the Alabama House of Representatives. A graduate of the University of Alabama and Auburn University, he is a pharmacist and health underwriter. He is a member of Optimist International, the North Alabama Health Underwriters Association, and the Alabama Pharmaceutical Association.
