Disambiguation link notification for March 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Extra Ordinary (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Wind (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your recent editing history at List of video games notable for negative reception shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. WP:3RR
You're currently on 4 reverts on Republican Party (United States), which puts you in violation of WP:3RR. Can I suggest you self-revert while the talk page discussion is continuing? If not this'll have to go to WP:EWN, as you're not following the BRD process. — Czello 09:40, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- I was never on four reverts. Stop making false accusations. Cortador (talk) 10:17, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

- The first one isn't a revert of anything - it is the original addition. Stop trolling. Cortador (talk) 10:34, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Firstly, that would have been enough to earn a block at WP:EWN if you'd have been reported (I chose to send you the above message in lieu of that). Secondly, it wasn't the first time you've added "far-right extremism" to the article. Wiki-lawyering doesn't prevent blocks, and tends to hasten them. I notice you're now trying to add social conservatism again without consensus. Please don't start this again. — Czello 10:39, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, now you are already backpaddling from claiming that this was a WP:3RR violation and claim that the three edits would have been sufficient. Make up your mind before throw around accusations. Cortador (talk) 10:44, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- It was, and again would have earned you a block. You could try it again if you felt confident it wouldn't, but I wouldn't advise it. — Czello 10:46, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- No, it would not. That wouldn't even be your decision, as you aren't an admin. Cortador (talk) 11:01, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- I've seen countless people be blocked for exactly what you did. So yes, it would. You're again Wiki-lawyering rather than thinking about the spirit of the rule (and again, that first link wasn't the first time you added "far-right extremism" against consensus). Again if you think I'm wrong you could always test this theory, but the reason you're not is because you know it'll end in a block. You've got a history of edit warring, so please now just leave people to reply to your talk page thread. — Czello 11:08, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Empty threats. The last time I was accused of edit warring, no action was taken because the admin agreed that I had a point. Look it up if you want to; the decision is public. And don't pretend you care about the spirit of the rules; you only brought that up after I called you out on a false WP:3RR accusation. Cortador (talk) 11:14, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- If you're not going to heed my advice, then fine. All I can say is that I chose to ask you to self-revert rather than reporting you to WP:EWN - and, as I say, I've seen plenty of people blocked for that (or less). Given your history of edit warring (and even being blocked for it), I'd advise you follow WP:BRD more closely in the future. — Czello 11:19, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- I don't need your threats. If you want it so badly, report me. But I have some advice for you as well: "When reporting a user here, your own behavior will also be scrutinized." Cortador (talk) 11:21, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

Contentious topic self awareness notice.
Cortador, would you mind adding a contentious topic awareness template to your talk page? Springee (talk) 17:33, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Misplaced Pages’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Misplaced Pages administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Misplaced Pages;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
