The MTR or Mass Transit Railway is the metro of Hong Kong. It is operated by MTR Corporations Ltd., a company listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange and included in the Hang Seng Index.

The line utilises Octopus cards, a rechargeable magnetic swipe card which automatically calculates and deducts the fare for each trip, as well as the traditional ticketing system.
