Lorena Castell Barragán (born February 4, 1981, in Barcelona) is a Spanish radio and television presenter.

Biography

She is the daughter of DJs from the 1980s, so she grew up influenced by music. In March 2006, she formed the group "Lorena C", composed of herself, Carlos García Bayona, and Toni Buenadicha. In 2008, she competed to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest, a title that was won by Chikilicuatre.

She worked on 8tv with Jordi González as a daily collaborator and music coordinator. She has also worked for Antena 3 presenting the reality show El Marco, for Cuatro on the shows Los Managers, Lo que diga la rubia and No le digas a mamá que trabajo en la tele, for Telecinco on ¿Por qué no te callas?, Gran Hermano: El Debate and Gran Hermano 12: Resumen and for TVE on Vivan los bares.

In 2013, she was one of the contestants on Splash! Famosos al agua.

In 2015, she joined Antena 3's "Espejo público." She also collaborated as a summer contributor on La Sexta's "Zapeando" between 2015 and 2016. Since 2011, she has been a presenter and announcer for "Yu: no te pierdas nada" on Los 40 Principales with Dani Mateo or Jorge Ponce, among others.

Apart from her role as a TV contributor and presenter, she has also developed a career as an actress: from 2002 to 2005, she played the role of Lorena in the series "No n'hi ha prou," and she has also participated in two short films and had a supporting role in the film "Spanish Movie." In 2016, she left "Espejo Público" and, after two summers, joined "Zapeando" as a frequent contributor, where she currently continues to work.

In 2017, she joined "Vergüenza Ajena: Made in Spain" as a presenter and also joined Sol Música as a presenter. In addition, she opened a bar in Malasaña with Dani Mateo, among others. She was a frequent contributor to "1, 2, 3... hipnotízame."

In November 2022, she won the seventh edition of the competition MasterChef Celebrity.

Outside of radio and television, Lorena continues to perform concerts as a singer with her group "Lorena C." In 2017, she opened "El Ideal" bar in the Malasaña neighborhood with Dani Mateo and another partner, where she attracted customers with her show "Bingo para señoras," a festive gathering where they played bingo. In 2022, she closed the bar. However, Lorena moved her popular show to the Florida Park theater (El Retiro), managing to present and star in her own revue show, which combines bingo, dance, and musical numbers. Lorena also has her own tattoo shop, for which she feels a great passion. In 2015, she began to develop an interest in tattooing, practicing on her own skin.
