Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – This article is receiving high amounts of traffic and prone to hit and run IP edits. Solblaze (talk) 06:36, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Yes, this article comes under CTOPS, but it really isn't getting more disruption than the editors seem to be able to handle. Daniel Case (talk) 17:56, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Battle of Abaran

Reason: IP vandalism from Special:Contributions/185.115.5.40 and Special:Contributions/85.117.56.69

List of Ford vehicles

Temporary semi-protection: Sockpuppetry. https://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Lithuaniaball2- Lithuania2 socks are still disrupting the article. Also, I filed a RFPP earlier but Daniel Case erroneously blocked Bahooka for edit warring when Bahooka was fighting vandalism from Lithuaniaball2 socks. -- Shadow of the Starlit Sky 10:45, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Pongal (festival)

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – constant vandalism by ip accounts, removal of well sourced content. Page protection of indefinite time is required to combat it. RamaKrishnaHare (talk) 11:47, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Semi-protected for a period of six months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. I am not sure yet that indef protection is necessary, but six months is longer than any previous such protection. We'll see how it goes. I have also added a CTOPS notice to the talk page. Daniel Case (talk) 18:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Eli Babalj

Reason: Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism over the course of several years. The same edit made. Simione001 (talk) 14:35, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

DeclinedWarn the user appropriately then report them to AIV or ANI if they continue. Isabelle Belato 15:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – Persistent block evasion by IP socks of User:Chicca70. MrOllie (talk) 15:28, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Extended confirmed protection: BLP policy violations – Autoconfirmed user edit warring with misleading summaries to introduce material contrary to our BLP policies. Same user also edit warred at Insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir due to which the page had to be ECP protected. Captain Jack Sparrow (talk) 15:53, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Killing of Manuel Esteban Paez Terán
