== WikiCup 2023 July newsletter ==

The third round of the 2023 WikiCup has come to an end. The 16 users who made it to the fourth round had at least 175 points. Our top scorers in round 3 were:

*{{flagicon image|Royal standard of England (1406–1603).svg|link=Dual monarchy of England and France}} ], with 862 points from a high-scoring featured articles on ] and numerous reviews,
*{{flagicon|Byzantine Empire}} ], with 560 points from a high-scoring featured article on ].

Contestants achieved 11 featured articles, 2 featured lists, 47 good articles, 72 featured or good article reviews, over 100 DYKs and 40 ITN appearances. As always, any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Please also remember that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them. When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met. Please also remember that all submissions must meet core Misplaced Pages policies, regardless of the review process.

If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on ] (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Misplaced Pages is first and foremost an encyclopedia that disseminates free knowledge to the public. Misplaced Pages is also a collaborative project where individuals volunteer their time to improve the encyclopedia, specifically its content and operation. Naturally, in settings where humans interact, disputes will arise and mistakes will be made along the way. In this carnivalesque atmosphere, it is up to each individual to best enjoy their time without infringing on anybody else's enjoyment of the encyclopedia. Be open to criticism (good or bad), maintain respect, always, and know when to seek assistance. If somewhere along the way you make a mistake, as we all do, remember to learn from past errors, become a better person at present, and move on to an even greater future—love yourself, be courteous, laugh a little.
