Alisson Becker
I'm not sure if there's a guideline or policy, although it's pretty standard for the infobox name to match the article title. That said, I'm inclined to agree that just 'Alisson' is his more commonly used name, and was a little surprised that the title was moved to include his surname in December. Tina Turner
You reverted my correction to the description of the article on the late Tina Turner. A person born in Ireland who immigrates to America is an Irish-American, not an Irish-born American. A person born in America who emigrates to Switzerland is an American-Swiss, not an "American-born Swiss". But far be it from me to try to improve Misplaced Pages. J. D. Crutchfield | Talk 22:39, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
- She doesnt have American citizenship anymore, read the note at the end of the first sentence. There's also a talk page discussion going on rn --FMSky (talk) 22:44, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
- That's irrelevant, but the heated discussion of this trivial issue just reminds me why I quit editing Misplaced Pages and that I should stick to that policy. J. D. Crutchfield | Talk 00:19, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hey. Celine Dion did release a short tribute to Tina. Granted, it only appears on Celine's official Facebook page, but it is fact that a tribute was released. You can search for the post, or I can sent a screenshot as proof. It's important that Celine's tribute is reflected in the tribute list to Tina in her official Misplaced Pages article. Can you please reinstate your edit? 2A00:23C6:BC8B:C301:7DD4:24D6:2A3F:10AF (talk) 23:04, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
WP:NOSOCIAL
Hello. I've just seen your edits to DJ Ötzi and Lionel Richie as both are on my watchlist—please do not include links to social media accounts in external links sections per WP:NOSOCIAL. I don't know if you've added social media links like these to any other articles, but if you have, please remove them. Thank you. Ss112 20:16, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- why does the template <nowiki>{{Instagram}} template missing ID and not present in Wikidata.<nowiki> even exist then? no i've only added them to ötzi's article, on the lionel richie article it was added by someone else --FMSky (talk) 20:20, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- I doubt the creator of that template consulted anybody upon creating it. I assume they probably didn't know about NOSOCIAL. Tbh Misplaced Pages is rife with all sorts of EL violations. I doubt all the people who've added the template to EL sections know about it either, hence why there seems to be thousands of uses. Ss112 20:23, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
Gary and Paul O'Donovan
Hi. I believe you have confused the images for Gary and Paul O'Donovan. See:

Gary is the brother with the slightly lighter hair and slightly narrower face. In my view, you've mislabeled them on Commons and Wikidata. Guliolopez (talk) 20:27, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

Honour
In British English, the word is spelled honour. As can be seen in this manual of style. The Lionel Messi article uses British English, as can be seen by the use of the Use British English template in the fifth line of the article. Therefore, the spelling should say honour, not honor. - So then you must want to apply WP:PRSOURCE, which says "A press release is clearly not an independent source as it is usually written either by the business or organization it is written about, or by a business or person hired by or affiliated with the organization... Usually, but not always, a press release will be identified as such... In general, press releases have effusive praise, rather than factual statements". I propose we remove the change the source and remove the quote, so the text reads as follows - In June 2021, Messi signed a five-year deal to become an ambassador for the Hard Rock Cafe brand. Adding photos.
Hi there. I tried moving a 1982 photo of Joe Jackson (not to be confused with the patriarch of the Jackson 5) after a 2021 photo was added but it didn't work properly. What did I do wrong as this is my first time manually adding a photo. GTAGamer245 (talk) 23:31, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, i guess you're referring to this edit? https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Joe_Jackson_(musician)&diff=prev&oldid=1159208506 You put a "nowiki" tag around the image file, thats why it didnt show up, i've corrected it --FMSky (talk) 05:41, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

Alexander Graham Bell Infobox
Hi! You removed the (secondary school) education from Bell's info box, I replaced it, and you reverted stating the parameter guidance for infobox.
Bell's education is relevant -- the fact that he was a scholar and teacher, without having earned even an undergraduate degree, is indeed oft-cited in his biographies.
I don't care to edit war this! However, the infobox guidance for education and alma mater lead me to realize that we shouldn't really be using alma mater at all, but education to encompass all three items.
education: Education, e.g., degree, institution and graduation year, if relevant. If very little information is available or relevant, the |alma_mater= parameter may be more appropriate.
alma mater: This parameter is a more concise alternative to (not addition to) |education=, and will often consist of the linked name of the last-attended institution of higher education (not secondary schools). It is usually not relevant to include either parameter for non-graduates, but article talk page consensus may conclude otherwise
Since alma mater is not appropriate for secondary education, and Bell's higher education is a significant part of his history with plenty of information available, I will put all three schools in the "education" parameter, and remove alma mater altogether.
Please tag me if you care to discuss this more here, or add a section to the article's talk page so others can weigh in! Thanks! Kerri9494 (talk) 20:07, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

Name in Infobox
I know my edit would be reverted, but by your logic, that would for a good portion of biographical articles that go by the subject's birth name. Not sure why Whitney Houston is any different. Mr. C.C.I didn't do it! 20:07, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
- see https://en.wikipedia.org/Template:Infobox_person it should only be used if different from "name", which obviously makes sense, why would you want to list the same exact name (thats also already the infobox name) twice?? -FMSky (talk) 20:09, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
- You might as well remove it from every biographical article where their real name is used. You can just pick and choose. You have to do it for all. Mr. C.C.I didn't do it! 20:11, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah thats why i do exactly that whenever i notice it --FMSky (talk) 20:11, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

Damon Dash
Can you remove the mention of Damon's brief appearance in a recent documentary about Aaliyah from his personal life section? I find it unnecessary seeing as though it adds no new or valuable information to the narrative about their relationship or Dash's wiki article itself. Dash has appeared in other Aaliyah documentaries over the years so it carries no true significance other than a particular user feeling the need to pad related wiki articles with every little Aaliyah fact they can. 166.198.202.60 (talk) 16:40, 23 June 2023 (UTC)

Kelly Rowland/Destiny's Child
An edit regarding Destiny's Child sales was recently made to Kelly Rowland's page to reflect group sales of 100 million according to an alleged 2012 press release from Mathew Knowles but on the Destiny's Child wiki and other sources, it says the group has sold more than 60 million as of 2013. While 100 million would definitely be more than 60 million, I don't think it should flat out say 100 million, if it's not exactly that, but I also don't want to edit war so should I just leave it alone? 166.194.204.11 (talk) 23:00, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
Jos Schaffer quote
I used some personal discretion when i edited in Jon Shaffer discussing "fiat currency", as the original article wrote "fee on currency". I changed the quote to "(fiat) currency", as I felt it was the best and most appropriate way to convey what Jon had said as the only reason the article had wrote "fee on" instead of "fiat" was a misquote in itself, and I am sure of this because there is a video of him speaking, also "fiat currency" is a well known and frequently addressed thing in economic, as well as political and extreme political circles.
You changed it back to "fee on currency" on 15:49, 28 August 2022 with the commentary being "what does the other even mean?", Well I am not going to explain it here, but if you google it, I assure you that you will understand my edit was a more proper one, and you should revert it back. Reverted Edit
Hi FMSky,
I noticed that you reverted an edit I made to the Gene Simmons article and wanted to ask about your basis for doing so.
My edit was to insert a comma based on MOS:GEOCOMMA, which I cited in the edit comments. In your reversion, you stated "Can you not change direct quotes please?". Please review MOS:CONFORM and let me know your interpretation and understanding for how that applies in this case. The guidance says "quoted text should be adapted to English Misplaced Pages conventions without comment" but I suppose I can start including MOS:CONFORM in the edit comments, as well.
Please advise.
Edward Bednar (talk) 12:35, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- MOS:CONFORM doesnt say anything about commas so i'm really not sure. but its not even a necessary comma to begin with so there's no reason to mess with it --FMSky (talk) 16:33, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

White Wizzard
Hello,
I've edited the bands page a couple times and you kept rejecting my edits.
Will Wallner is not longer a member of the band.
The photo on the page is from 2012, I've put an updated artwork of the band from 2022.
I have corrected the events of 2013 with real unbiased information with supporting articles and it was not approved as well.
Can you explain yourself?
All the information I've corrected is true and unbiased.
Looking forward to hear from you, thanks. Oferholan (talk) 17:57, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Oferholan: Hi, i didn't revert the Wallner edit, the image was a copyright violation, and the informations you changed were unsourced --FMSky (talk) 18:07, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- I have sourced the information with 2 articles!
- I don't see how can you say it is unsourced.
- Please go over it again.
- About the picture, I will put in another one, that picture of the band from 2012 is really no representing the band.

- It looks like you just left that Joseph was fired, but I know for fact (as cited by the articles I have related in the references) that what I edited really happened.
- I don't see why would you deny it, are you related to the band/its members somehow?
- I have no interest in editing the page but posting the truth. Oferholan (talk) 18:33, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- No, but your wording wasnt neutral and a violation of WP:NPOV so isnt suited for wikipedia.
"In October 2013 Jon Leon fired Joseph Michael after he refused to perform a booked concert with paid attendees waiting in the venue while he sat in a bar across the street. Earlier that day, Joseph Michael made an entirely false claim that Jon Leon had misappropriated band funds from their Indie GoGo donations and demanding he get more money when the band had very little funds, and emailed all donators to try and smear Leon after the previous evening Jon Leon had let Joseph Michael know they would not continue their relationship after the tour due to multiple issues. None of these claims were proven or substantiated. They were a fabrication. The subsequent falling out led to the tour being cancelled, and the band imploded and would go on hiatus."
- No, but your wording wasnt neutral and a violation of WP:NPOV so isnt suited for wikipedia.
- Look at the text again, it should be fine now --FMSky (talk) 18:28, 22 July 2023 (UTC)

Try That in a Small Town
Hi, may I ask how removing "media" and "academia" here makes it "more accuarate"? The section specifically mentions both of these so it seems like the opening sentence should as well. –dlthewave ☎ 12:50, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Cause the earlier statement made it seem like the song was universally condemned, which isnt the case. Its actually his highest charting song. And not a lot of "academics" have even commented on it --FMSky (talk) 12:57, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- I suppose we do only have one academic, but I see no justification for removing "media" as much of the criticism mentioned in that section comes from media personalities. Thank you for adding the Billboard numbers; this is the correct way to add additional points of view instead of removing mentions of negative coverage. –dlthewave ☎ 15:28, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
Adding content about Neely's arrest record and mental health history
Hi, I do feel sympathetic to your concerns, in terms of having balance on the article, and adding further context to give a bigger picture about things. Hopefully my comments on the talk page of the Killing of Jordan Neely page didn't come across as too harsh. I will review some more sources, and get back to you when I have more free time, in terms of offering additional context and maybe some proposed language that could be included for an RfC proposal. 72.14.126.22 (talk) 17:45, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, no i understand your concern. but yeah i think an RfC is probably the best course of action --FMSky (talk) 18:09, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Here is something that I came up with after reviewing your edit and looking at some sources. I don't know how you (or others) would feel about it as a compromise, but this is one possibility of what could be added to the article:
- In 2019, Neely was listed on a city-maintained roster of homeless people considered to be most in need of assistance and treatment, and in 2023 he was subject to an alternative to incarceration program after pleading guilty to felony assault charges. According to The Guardian, once Neely became homeless in 2013, he slipped "into a cycle of mental health crises, arrests and hospitalization that would continue until his death".
- 72.14.126.22 (talk) 06:05, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- i mean yeah its better than nothing but it still doesnt provide a lot of insight on that topic. also that kinda makes it seem like this was the only crime he committed. imo the quote i originally posted, "his history of violent of erratic behavior was likely a result of his untreated mental illness" (or something like that) would be good to include --FMSky (talk) 07:45, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I mean maybe several things in the article need to be reworked on the topic of mental health, his criminal record, and etc. We'd need a good source or several sources that actually very clearly state, almost verbatim, that he had a history of violent and erratic behavior to be able to say that in wikivoice. Might be easier to try and find a quality source, and just quote from them regarding the topic. 72.14.126.22 (talk) 16:16, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- Another option would be to wait until the trial, and if the case is notable then a new article may be created, in which it would be more appropriate to perhaps go in-depth about Neely's background and history, depending on what reliable sources report on in terms of the arguments from Penny's defense attorneys etc. 72.14.126.22 (talk) 05:13, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Daniel Penny's trial is notable, at least as a section ("Legal proceedings") within the Killing of Jordan Neely article. Unclear now if the trial will warrant it own stand-alone article, a la Trial of George Zimmerman vis-à-vis Killing of Trayvon Martin. Jweiss11 (talk) 12:55, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- Right, and we'll also have to wait and see about the degree to which Neely's record is used (if allowable by the judge) as a part of Penny's defense against the charges which have been brought against him etc. 72.14.126.22 (talk) 16:09, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

- Here is something that I came up with after reviewing your edit and looking at some sources. I don't know how you (or others) would feel about it as a compromise, but this is one possibility of what could be added to the article:

Misconduct accusations
Hi FMSky. You've at least twice now made accusations about misconduct on the part of dlthewave, having called them a "troll" and said they are "being intentional disruptive". If you have evidence of this misconduct, please follow the steps of conduct dispute resolution. If not, please stop casting aspersions. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 13:59, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- Well he/she is obviously being disruptive. I posted the link to the discussion at least twice yet the content is still being re-inserted. The user doesnt respond to talk page posts either. --FMSky (talk) 14:03, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- It looks like there's an ongoing RfC, so it's not clear that there's consensus either way. I wouldn't assume that you're being intentionally disruptive by removing content or that they're being intentionally disruptive by adding it. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 14:05, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- The discussion is stale anyway and should be closed, i already requested it here https://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Closure_requests

Undo on MrBeast
Hello, I disagree with your undo at MrBeast. "fags" is not a common term and just means cigarette in some regions. A wikilink is valuable for readers to gain context. The word "fags" is linked only once in the article. I accidentally cut short my edit summary so I am messaging you here. Cheers, Ca 02:00, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
Chris Savino
Hello, I am not sure if you got my message on the Chris Savino talk page, but I was unable to send a link on the talk page because YouTube is blacklisted on Misplaced Pages. Is there another way I can show you that link? Tyler Michael Mannix (talk) 19:38, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
Contentious topics
Hey, I notice you seem frustrated by the number of contentious topics notices you've been getting. You might not realize that there are several dozen topic areas that are considered contentious (see the full list here) and each one requires a separate notification. If you look carefully, you were notified of gender-related controversies here, biographis of living persons and post-1992 politics of the United States here and the intersection of race/ethnicity and human abilities and behaviour here. I personally wish the notice template put the name of the topic front-and-center for clarity, but it's what we have to work with. Anyway, I hope this helps. –dlthewave ☎ 15:26, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
Lizzo professions
Hello, I'm Groupthink. I noticed that you recently removed content from Lizzo without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
- I removed it per MOS:ROLEBIO but i just noticed i indeed didnt leave an edit summary, my bad! --16:33, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- No worries. I'm not sure MOS:ROLEBIO is applicable. She is definitely less noteworthy as an actress, songwriter and musician than she is as a rapper and singer, but that doesn't mean her contributions as the former are trivial and non-notable. Can we discuss further on Talk:Lizzo? Groupthink (talk) 19:42, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
Hittman (band): May fail under Db-a9
Hello @FMSky, The article may fail under criteria Db-a9 as non of the band members has an article on Misplaced Pages. We will therefore tag it for speedy deletion. You can still protest deletion and if criteria have being met, you can remove the del tag. Best.. Uncle Bash007 (talk) 06:56, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Regarding honours and trophies
Hi I saw you are quite senior in this field of WP editing, I just want to ask you something regarding the rules. What is the consensus of adding honour list of a footballer? According to sources Messi has 43 trophies but some trophies are not there in the honour list of Messi because he was not in the match day squad. Same applies for Ronaldo also, according to sources he has 34(Maybe now 35 after winning the Arab cup) but couple of trophies are also taken away from him because of the same match day squad reason. Currently some disputes happened in Dany Alves WP page, please check the talk page also. Your comments would put some light on it, Thanks.Eduardo2024 (talk) 10:20, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, i edit footballers from time to time but i'm not familiar with the guidelines regarding trophies. WikiProject_Football would probably be the best place to ask https://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football -FMSky (talk) 19:34, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Joel Birch
Did you seriously nominate Joel Birch's page for deletion? Do you know how much expletive time I spent building his page?
- Yeah cause he fails WP:BANDMEMBER, he isnt notable outside of his band -FMSky (talk) 17:04, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
The Departed
Hi - my edit about which Boston neighborhood the movie takes place in has been reverted twice. Not sure why. Can you please stop doing that? Emp4eva (talk) 02:35, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- Cause it was correct as it was. You changed South End to South Boston, why?
"George Floyd was killed by police"
Hi, a response to your revert here: I think the verb "murdered" is more appropriate, as the state secured a guilty verdict against the perpetrator for murder in the second and third degrees. Furthermore, using "murder" adds precision, as an unfamiliar reader could falsely conclude that the police officer who killed Floyd may have had a legal justification for doing so. I would appreciate it if you could expand on your edit summary, as I'm not sure why the factual and more accurate "murder" would be unnecessary compared to "killed".-Ich (talk) 11:31, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- It just sounded worse imo and basically means the same thing anyway, so i dont see the point, but its not that important to me --FMSky (talk) 11:38, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- actually it was inaccurate as it said "murdered by police" when it was a single officer.--FMSky (talk) 11:46, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
3RR violation
You're past 3RR at What is a Woman?. Three different users have objected the content you keep restoring. Please self-revert. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 14:37, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
