The Red Sea is a gulf of the Indian Ocean between Africa and Asia. The connection to the ocean is in the south through the Gulf of Aden. In the north is the Suez Canal. Bordering countries are Eritrea, Sudan, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Towns and cities on the Red Sea coast include: Assab, Port Sudan, Port Safaga, Hurghada, El Suweis, Sharm el Sheikh, Eilat, Aqaba, Dahab, Jedda, Al Hudaydah.
