According to the Russian state media center TASS, over 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have used the radio frequency to surrender. The Ukrainian soldiers who surrender use the radio frequency to surrender are reportedly "well-fed and provided with all necessary medical care". A report by the Russian state media center Sputnik news, leaflets are also being used on how Ukrainian soldiers can contact the Russian military to discuss the place and time of surrender. The Russian Army gave a statement to sputnik news saying: "We are working to prevent pointless bloodshed among Ukrainian soldiers. We are distributing leaflets asking those serivcemen to surrender. The Russian Amry also said in their statement: "Unlike in spring when one or two Ukrainian soldiers surrendered, now whole UAF units are laying down their arms; surrendering, there were no company ; we even witnessed platoons surrender".
