Signups open for The Core Contest

The Core Contest—Misplaced Pages's most exciting contest—will take place this year from April 15 to May 31. The goal: to improve vital or other core articles, with a focus on those in the worst state of disrepair. Editing can be done individually, but in the past groups have also successfully competed. There is £300 of prize money divided among editors who provide the "best additive encyclopedic value". Signups are open now. Cheers from the judges, Femke, Casliber, Aza24.

Jody Freeman

Hello,

As part of my work at Beutler Ink, I am submitting a series of edit requests to update the Jody Freeman article, which has an "advertisement" banner, as well as unsourced and biased text. Since I have a COI, I'm proposing article improvements at Talk:Jody Freeman instead of editing the article directly. I am currently seeking assistance to update the Memberships section, and I've proposed removing the "advertisement" banner, if any WikiProject Biography members are interested in joining the discussion. Joe Kiani - Concerns about Controversies and Investigations section

Hi all! I have posted a consensus discussion on Joe Kiani’s Talk page regarding a section of his Misplaced Pages article. The Controversies and Investigations section was added to his page and I feel as though it violates a handful of Misplaced Pages guidelines and would like to see it removed. Requesting input on edit requests on Lee Gottfried

This is a biography of a dead person deceased in 1968. I've declined some of the requests by p-block user and I gave my reasons in the talk, one of which was WP:NOTEVERYTHING and feel some of the requested contents are too trivia. Please provide input. Initials?

I've noticed some articles, such as N. Muthuvel and M. Chakrapani, don't have the full name of the people they are discussing. Is there a policy reason for this, and if not, should the articles have full names? --MtPenguinMonster (talk) 03:03, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi MtPenguinMonster. Articles are titled by the name most commonly used in sources per WP:COMMONNAME. Also, maybe their full name isn't known. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 04:09, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
