Garry Moore (or erroneously Gary Moore) (January 31, 1915 – November 28, 1993) was born in Baltimore, Maryland as Thomas Garrison Morfit. He was a television host on several programs during the 1950s and 1960s, particularly game shows.
He was the first host of I've Got a Secret in 1952 (until 1964). He also hosted The Garry Moore Show, a daytime variety show, and To Tell the Truth (1969 - 1977). His variety show gave many performers their break in show business, including Carol Burnett and Alan King.
Garry Moore is the Mayor of Christchurch, New Zealand.
