I'd like to discuss and ultimately reach consensus about if the term "billionaire" should be placed as the first adjective in the lead sentence. A couple of editors have recently added it to the article, and since I've removed it, I thought it would be appropriate to encourage dialogue here. While it's an accurate term, and I have no problem describing a living person as a billionaire, I don't believe that term should primarily define a man or woman. And for that reason, it should not be the first term to describe a person in the lead sentence. Instead, I believe a reader should be presented with the source's source of occupation before the billionaire term is presented. I checked numerous other Misplaced Pages pages of well-known billionaires (], ], ], ], ], ], etc.) and found that philosophy was consistently employed there. The lead sentence uses adjectives that describes what they've done, not what they have. And while I understand that other Misplaced Pages articles do not a provide policy or guideline on this particular BLP, it does provide a meaningful example for consideration about how other editors have achieved consensus on this point. ] (]) 22:57, 8 April 2021 (UTC) I'd like to discuss and ultimately reach consensus about if the term "billionaire" should be placed as the first adjective in the lead sentence. Owner of AC Milan

I believe Singer's relatively new ownership of AC Milan, one of the most storied soccer franchises, merits its own section. Plenty of press on the noteworthy purchase: https://nypost.com/2018/07/11/hedge-fund-billionaire-paul-singer-takes-over-ac-milan/ Any objections? If not, I'll create a short section for it. Billionaire term in lead sentence

I checked numerous other Misplaced Pages pages of well-known billionaires (Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerburg, Elon Musk, Larry Page, etc.) and found that philosophy was consistently employed there. The lead sentence uses adjectives that describes what they've done, not what they have. And while I understand that other Misplaced Pages articles do not a provide policy or guideline on this particular BLP, it does provide a meaningful example for consideration about how other editors have achieved consensus on this point. Biased language about paying fair share of taxes

Under Career the following text is found: "Singer is also the founder and CEO of NML Capital Limited, a Cayman Islands-based offshore unit of Elliott Management Corporation that allows Singer to avoid paying a fair share of taxes."

The term fair share is subjective and as long as he is following the laws, there is no need to add this. I sounds like someone with an opinion (which I also hold) is taking a shot at Singer. I recommend we remove it.

New revelations about paying judges luxury journey and then the judge sentences in his favor in cases like Argentine´s soberan debt was made by AOC and must be added to the page. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.115.230.193 (talk) 11:41, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
