Jared Byers is the former drummer of the popular Christian rock band Bleach. He was the band's drummer up until the point when they broke up in 2004. He is currently filling in for the Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline, for their final shows. Drummer Ben Cissel and guitarist Tyler Burkum had already been devoted to other projects when Audio Adrenaline was called for an extended tour. Byers also filled in as the drummer for the Christian rock band Relient K for a short time in 2000. The band's former drummer, Stephen Cushman, had left the band earlier in the year. Byers played drums for the band until December 2000, when the band's current drummer Dave Douglas joined as the permanent drummer.

In 2003, Jared Byers and his brother Milam (who was also in Bleach) took time off after their brother Joshua's sudden and tragic death. He had been fighting in Iraq. They returned to playing in the band around the time of Rock the Universe 2003, where it was said that they were "clearly giving their heart and soul into each moment of the set".

While he no longer plays in either band, Byers is still friends with his former bandmates from both Relient K and Bleach. Byers now plays in a smaller band called Royal Empire Music, along with former Bleach band member Dave Baysinger. Byers is currently filling in on drums for Audio Adrenaline during their spring (Feb-Apr) 2007 tour.
