	The article on the 1982 Lebanon war (]) contradicts itself.


	It says, " From June to December 1980 the ] (UNIFIL) recorded an increase in activities along the border zone. No attacks by Palestinian forces on Israel were recorded, while the IDF incursions across the armistice line into Lebanon increased markedly,"


	But then in the next paragraph it says, "In his report for the period of 12 December 1980 to 12 June 1981 on UNIFIL activities, the Security Council Secretary General noted that infiltrations into the border zone by Palestinian armed forces had decreased relative to the previous six months."


	How could Palestinian infiltrations decrease from the previous 6 months if "no attacks by Palestinian forces on Israel were recorded" in the previous 6 months?

	I would argue that the claim that no attacks by Palestinian forces on Israel were recorded (which does not have a citation) is an error and needs to be deleted. ] (]) 06:15, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

I think the " Cold War Perspective " section is unnecessary

Implying the 1982 Lebanon War somehow contributed to Perestroika or the collapse of the Eastern Bloc is beyond silly, Soviet Military equipment was being used effectively in numerous other conflicts at the time and Soviet Military equipment/Soviet allies had always suffered higher losses compared to their American counterparts.

War? It was the beginning of occupation.

Remove map in infobox

The map in the infobox has no key or legend to indicate the meaning of its colors. I think that it should be removed for that reason. JohnR1Roberts (talk) 13:37, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
