== History ==
Maoist global organizations have previously existed, such as the ] (RIM) and the ] (ICMLPO), both somewhat declining by the 2010s.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Le mouvement maoïste au Népal, 1949-2008 |url=https://theses.hal.science/tel-01662521/document}}</ref> During this same decade, numerous Gonzalo-adjacent organizations began springing up in Europe and Latin America.

In January 2022, communications were published on a Dutch Maoist blog, Communist International, expressing interest between multiple parties for a "Unified Maoist International Conference (UMIC)." In December 2022, it was declared that the conference resulted in the creation of a new International Communist League.<ref name=":0" />

== Reception ==
