It's been a while since I've looked at this article, and I gotta say... I liked it a LOT better with individual images for each episode. I noticed no discussion was brought up for this, not that it seems controversial or anything. The layout with individual images became the inspiration for many other articles I worked on, and I don't understand the reasoning to change it. I'm assuming related concerns such as this had something to do with it? I'm of the opinion of the others who found this table way to chunky, and even though the image use (of BOTH DVD covers and individual episode images) is in hot dispute, I'm going to be bold and reformat it. From the featured list discussion, it does not seem this would break it's status.. If it does please revert my edits, and I will bring it up for further discussion. -- Ned Scott12:19, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
scratch that, I don't think I'm up for it tonight. And the issue seems to hot right now, and I'd rather the edit not be taken as an attack or me trying to prove a point. I'll work something out on my sandbox and maybe wait out the discussion about the Lost episodes. But yeah, I'm suprised this article reached feature status looking like this.. -- Ned Scott12:21, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Err, I was thinking about it and I think I probably came off rather rude just now. I think I'm too hyped up from the Lost images debate. The article really isn't bad, although I do prefer the individual images. In all honesty, I think you've done a great job on the article, Cool Cat. Sorry if I was a dick. -- Ned Scott15:38, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Needless to say I and many other editors disagree. As you well know, there is a lengthy discussion underway about this at WP:AN where you are welcome to make your voice heard. I would just note that your notion that there is not a consensus is irrelevant in that we are enforcing Foundation policies. As many have pointed out, if a proper Fair Use rationale is added for an image, the image is specifically described in the text and a minimal number of images are used, then this is alright. However, a list with pictures that are not even mentioned by the text is a decorative use and this is expressly forbidden by our Fair Use policy. Just because enforcement has been neglected on this article until now does not mean that this list of images is any more justifiable. Meanwhile, I suggest further discussion is made at AN. The work needs to be described in the text. We don't need the text to say "this screenshot". A screenshot is similar to a quotation from a longer text - the quotation can be used to illustrate a relevant point without saying "this quotation". --GunnarRene17:39, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
