The 3-Sjøersløpet ("The 3 Lakes Race") is a half marathon held annually in November in Stavanger, Norway. First organized in 2006, the race was scheduled on the first Saturday of November to provide runners with a competitive event at the close of the running season. Thanks to the mild climate on Norway’s southwest coast, the conditions during this time of year are ideal for running, with average temperatures ranging from 6–8ºC.
The course features a gentle terrain, with approximately 77% consisting of gravel paths for a comfortable running experience, while the remaining portion is paved asphalt. Runners face a total elevation of around 150 meters. For many participants, the 3-Sjøersløpet serves as the end of the season race and is therefore a good target for training throughout the year.
The name of the race, "3-Sjøersløpet," refers to the three lakes that the course goes around, Stokkavannet, Hålandsvannet and Mosvannet. Due to its end of season date, prize money and being one of the country’s biggest half marathons, the race attracts many of Norway’s best long-distance runners. In 2018, the course was used for the Norwegian championship for half marathon. The race has been more popularized recent years with a record of racers in both 2023 with 2928 finishers, and 3827 finishers in 2024.
The race was canceled in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.
