@IZAK I was attempting to refine the 'Botswana-Israel Relations' section and noticed that the first paragraph contradicts the article you provided. Before I update it to align with the linked article, do you have a reference to support your edit?
Your edit: "Botswana and Israel established full diplomatic relations in 1972 following Botswana's independence from Great Britian in 1966."
Botswana-Israel Relations: "The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1993 after Israel and the PLO signed the Oslo Accords. In February 2012, a Dan Shaham-Ben-Hayun presented his diplomatic credentials to Botswana as an official representative." LeónGonsalvesofGoa (talk) 05:14, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
@LeónGonsalvesofGoa: 1972 was the year Israel and Botswana set up diplomatic relations. Please take a look at Foreign relations of Israel#List under "List of countries which Israel maintains diplomatic relations with:" item number 88, citing footnote 16 and Foreign relations of Botswana#Diplomatic relations under "List of countries which Botswana maintains diplomatic relations with:" item number 28.citing the same source in footnote 25. Not sure where the later date comes from. Maybe it was a RE-establsihemnt of diplomatic relations after some kind of break in between. IZAK (talk) 23:52, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
