You were the glue that kept the Western Australian and Australian Misplaced Pages communities together and a personal friend to me for many years. You will be missed but your contributions will live on. Graham87 (talk) 07:39, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
It is very sad to see your passing. It has barely been a week since we caught up again. The project has lost a great contributor, and I will always miss our conversations. - Bilby (talk) 07:48, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Truly a sad day for the Misplaced Pages community. I will miss his constant emails & texts. I regret not making more time for Tom and catching up for that next beer. The Western Australian and Australian Misplaced Pages communities suffered a big loss with his passing. Proud to call him a mate. Dan arndt (talk) 08:26, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your comments and suggestions on my talk page and discussions I have started. The Misplaced Pages community will miss you. Steelkamp (talk) 08:37, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Nothing but good words to say about when we met, when JarrahTree showed a genuine interest both in my edits and in other aspects of life. I can fully understand why those with longer experience with JarrahTree will miss them greatly. CMD (talk) 09:52, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Shocked and saddened, especially after seeing him barely a week ago at WikiCon 2024. I'll miss his wry humour and advice. Bahudhara (talk) 10:20, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
I'm so sorry for JarrahTree's family for their loss. JarrahTree and I often exchanged emails and he was a very decent man with a wide range of interests. He was also passionate about Misplaced Pages and I enjoyed collaborating with him on several articles, including by helping him with information on Australian military history and appreciating his input on all matters concerning Western Australia (on which he was an absolute font of knowledge). I'll really miss him. Nick-D (talk) 10:22, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
I'm terribly sad to hear this. Jarrahtree was my first "wiki-friend" and we exchanged many emails over the years, so I was very glad to to meet him at last at Wikicon last weekend. My deepest condolences to his family. He leaves a big hole in Wikimedia - his contribution must have been enormous. Thank you for all your help over the years, jt. I will miss you. I can't believe he's gone. JarrahTree (or Satusuro as I still sort of think of him) has been so indefatigably encouraging over so many years, I figured he'd always be there, never discouraged and always chatting. I keep thinking that if he's not replying to me on Telegram, I just have to try him on WhatsApp… but now, there'll never be another reply. SamWilson11:55, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
What a shock, it's still sinking in... Amazing contributor to many Wikimedia projects, topics, ideas and admin and so encouraging to other contributors old and new. Like several others, I'm really glad I saw him in person at WikiCon just a week ago, and shared a laugh at the airport at what would be our final meeting. --Canley (talk) 12:12, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
I will always remember our chat in the sidelines of Wikimania 2023 in Singapore: your enthusiasm about Indonesian topics, your kind encouragement, and your indefatigable passion for the Misplaced Pages projects. RIP. dwadieff✉12:34, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Oh Tom, I couldn't believe the news, Graham's email. Didn't we just exchange emails? Did you not just ask me to look into this or that, with your sharp nose for socks and longterm vandals? I will miss you. Thanks for the many years of friendship and trust. Drmies (talk) 12:48, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Awful news. I'll miss your random messages of thanks and cryptic comments. You were a fantastic editor and will be sorely missed. The-Pope (talk) 14:17, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Rest in peace Tom, we never met but you've been a good friend on here through WikiProject Indonesia over the years, always willing to act thoughtfully and in good faith. You'll be missed. Dan Carkner (talk) 15:08, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Condolences to his family and a big loss to the project. Interacted several times on West Australian articles and by email. Willing to provide advice and even went off to get a photograph to improve an article I had started. Will be missed. Conlinp (talk) 20:04, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Deeply saddened to hear, I type this after finding the visiting card you gave me in London - still remember the discussions on Buddhism, birds, etc. Shyamal (talk) 12:39, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
You were a great editor and a very kind, helpful person, and I'm going to miss seeing you around. Sending my condolences to Jarrah's family and loved ones. ChrisWx ☁️ (talk - contribs) 21:33, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
