Cheyney C. Ryan (born 1948) is an American philosopher and Emeritus Professor of Philosophy and Law at the University of Oregon. He is also a senior research fellow at Oxford University's Institute for Ethics, Law, and Armed Conflict, known for his works on nonviolence, acifism, and the critique of just war theory. Ryan is a wnnier of the Joseph J. Blau Prize from the Society for Advancement of American Philosophy.
