Lou Schuler is an award-winning fitness journalist and author or coauthor of several books men's health, including The New Rules of Lifting, The Book of Muscle, The Testosterone Advantage Plan, and The Home Workout Bible.
According to his personal blog he is a former fitness editor of Men's Fitness magazine and former fitness director of Men’s Health. According to the same source and is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certification held by 21,000 professionals from a diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

He participated in JP Fitness Summit 2007 and Staley Training Systems Annual Training Summit 2006, on both occasions presenting lectures on the way of becoming a successful sports writer.
