On 13 September 2024, Juliana Prosper (née Falcon), 48, along with two of her children, Giselle and Kyle, aged 13 and 16, were found dead at their flat, off Wauluds Bank Drive, located in the neighborhood of Leabank in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. It was later revealed all three were shot dead in the early hours of the morning.

An 18-year-old son of Juliana, Nicholas Prosper, was later arrested in connection with the killings, and was found to be in possession of a shotgun he had illegally purchased the day before. He was charged with three counts of murder, along with purchasing or acquiring a shotgun without a certificate, possession of a shotgun, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

As Nicholas Prosper was led out of his first court appearance on 16 September, his father, Ray Prosper, shouted: "I still love you, son. It’s not your fault, OK?" at him before bursting into tears.

Although a motive for the killings is currently under investigation, a video uploaded by Prosper to Mega and shared through social media shows him declaring himself to be a "follower" of Clementine, a fictional character from the The Walking Dead videogame series, and said "her face will be mutilated further than necessary" as retaliation for picking a specific in-game choice several months prior.

Prosper's trial date was originally set for 5 December, though it was later delayed until 3 March 2025.
