Autopatrolled

Hey Bushranger, have you ever thought about giving yourself the autopatrolled userright? It seems you know your way around content, so I don't see the point of sending all your pages to NPP... Toadspike 22:51, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

Huh. Apparently 'Autopatrolled' isn't part of the administrator system - I'd thought it was (looking at my user rights log, I *had* it before becoming an admin). Given WP:AUTOPATROLLED states Administrators may also assign the right to themselves I've done so - thanks for poking me to notice this. - The Bushranger _{One ping only} 22:56, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

I think it used to be part of admin rights, but they overhauled Autopatrolled a few years back, and tightened the requirements to be an NPP. I used to have it (not an admin), but I lost it under the new rules. I don't want to jump through the new hoops, so I've gone without NPP for several years now.   Autopatrolled was removed from the admin bundle a little over three years ago, with the message that admins were free to re-add it for themselves. I did so for a while, but have since decided that my average of one new article a month does not place much of a burden on NPP, and there may be a benefit having someone else confirm I didn't mess up.
