Storm De Beul (born 2001–October, 30 2024) was a Belgian YouTuber and survival influencer.
Death
De Beul had been hiking alone in the remote Jokkmokk region in Swedish Lapland on October 30, 2024 when the blizzard struck. Around 2 a.m., De Beul contacted emergency services, reporting injuries and requesting assistance. However, the severe weather prevented rescuers from reaching him in time. His body was discovered the following day. It remains unclear why he left his tent; his mother speculated that the storm's intensity may have forced him to move. She noted that temperatures were as low as -6°C, feeling like -18°C due to the storm, and that his feet and lower legs were frozen. A broken nose suggested he may have fallen during the ordeal.
In his final communications, he sent a video to a friend showing heavy snowfall filling his shoes and backpack, expressing concern about the worsening conditions.
