Vairankode Bhagavathi Temple is one of oldest Bhadrakali temples in North Kerala. The temple was constructed by Azhvanchery Thamprakkal about 1500 years ago and Bhagavathy worshipped here is believed to be the sister of Kodungallur Bhagavathy. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Rudirappan (Shiva) and Subrahmanya.

Vairankode Bhagavathi Temple is one of oldest Bhadrakali temples in North Kerala. The temple was constructed by Azhvanchery Thamprakkal about 1500 years ago and Bhagavathy worshipped here is believed to be the sister of Kodungallur Bhagavathy. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Rudirappan (Shiva) and Subrahmanya.

Festivals

The annual Theeyattulsavam or Vairankode Vela is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February).
