Hi, | |||
Although I am new to Misplaced Pages, I have a lot of HTML expertise. I have also had some coaching from some friends who are also Wikipedians. ] 19:36, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Showing other routes would not be inconsistent, as virtually every other line diagram representing every other line on the UK rail network does so. The fact is that the line diagrams are not route maps, because that would take it close to being ]. They show the full extent of everything that criss-crosses a particular railway line (or at least try to) whether long or short. Two excellent examples are the ] and the ]. Can I suggest that you look around a bit before making a judgement. ] 02/05/07, 17.40 BST
:We'll have to agree to disagree, but the fact remains that a consensus of opinion has it that the diagrams are line maps, not route maps, and unless you want to change every single one, then you'll have to accept it. ] 02/05/07, 18.18 BST
:: Please point me in the direction of the "consensus", in order that I can read it. Thanks.] 17:24, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
: The maps are intended to be like the maps found on London Underground Trains. They ARE route maps, they are NOT track maps. Your claim of ] is rejected.] 17:18, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Rather than fiddling about with me, and messing about with the Northern City Line diagram, why don't you try and make your case at ]. If it has merit, people will listen. I just don't think it has merit, and I don't think that the people who have put so much work into designing them will think so either, otherwise they wouldn't have set them up. ] 02/05/07, 18.27 BST
::Good for you. Just remember that the name of the game on Misplaced Pages (for better or worse) is consensus. There have been a fair few occasions where I have disagreed with something, but the majority consensus has been for the opposite view to mine. I may not have liked it, I may have howled and cursed about it, but I've had to accept it. ] 02/05/07, 18.46 BST |
