Dera Sacha Sauda is a non profitable spiritual organization, which is based in Sirsa, Haryana, India. The organization claims to have 30 Million followers.

Activities

Dera Sacha Sauda has been awarded by Guinness World Records two times for massive blood donation camps:

  1. The camp was conducted by the Hajoor Maharaj Saint Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh Ji in sirsa haryana, India. On 7th December 2003, 15,432 unit of blood has been donated by the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda in merely 12 hours.
  2. The camp was conducted by the Hajoor Maharaj Saint Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh Ji in a remote village of Rajasthan, India. On 10th October 2004, 17,921 unit of blood has been donated by the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda in merely 14 hours.

Rehab Center

Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa also runs a Rehab Centre. Scores of people have given up drug abuse in this centre.

Present Guru Ji, Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji has started a Drug Prevention Campaign against the use of intoxicants. Guru Ji inspires people to give up their drug addiction in every spiritual congregation. People willing to give up their addiction will have to stay in Dera Sacha Sauda for seven days and most often without medical treatment the rehabilitation takes place. They have a hospital with in the same compound of Dera Sacha Sauda. Medical treatment is available for the addicts free of cost if required.

Guru Ji motivate them to do hard work and meditate to gain control and strength. Till today no one of them has experienced cold turkey (Cold Turkey is a term used by addicts to describe their withdrawal symptoms, whilst giving up heroin and includes nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, yawning, coughing, sneezing, pain in the stomach, back and joints coupled with feeling cold and hair on the body rising.)

Substance abusers / chemical dependants approaching the institution are Poly-drug abusers, including heroin abusers, cocaine abusers, alcohol, tobacco, solvent, etc. The institution sees chemical dependency (Drug Addiction) as a behavioural disorder and encourages the addicts to bring about a positive change in their personality.
