Devon is a fictional character on the TV series The Office. His first line is on Halloween although he can be seen in the background during Season 1. In a deleted scene from Diversity Day, he is seen with a post-it note on his head that says West Nile, and on The Dundies, when Dwight Schrute warns him to keep his awards speech short. In "Halloween", Boss Michael Scott must fire one employee. After trying to fire many workers, he attempts to fire Creed Bratton. Creed convinces Michael that he should fire Devon instead. Michael calls Devon into his office. Devon is very mad because the only reason he is being fired is because Creed pressured Michael to. Devon tries to convince his boss to reconsider and fire Creed, but is unsuccessful. Michael tries to salvage a friendship that was not even there to begin with by, on top of severance, giving Devon a $20 Chili's gift card, which Devon rips right in front of him.

Before leaving Devon yells an invitation for drinks at Poor Richard's to "Kevin, Jim, Pam, Kelly, Toby, Oscar, Meredith, Phyllis, Stanley, and the temp." He also says that "the rest of you can go to hell". Everybody leaves the Office except Michael, Dwight, Angela Martin, and Creed, suggesting that Devon did not get along with Dwight or Angela. Devon later throws a pumpkin at Michael's car. Later, Michael receives a $3000 Christmas bonus, which Michael credits to firing Devon. He even considers calling Devon to thank him. In a deleted scene from Valentine's Day, Michael is walking down the street in New York City when he sees Devon. Devon immediately notices him and starts chasing after him.
