Morgan was accused during the 2004 CBRM Mayoralty Debates to have been a member of the Mega Society which requires a minimum IQ of 176 to join. When prompted, Morgan stated he was not currently a member of any high IQ societies, but would not deny past membership in the Mega Society. The goal of such attacks was to characterize Morgan as being out of touch. <ref>See: CBRM 2000 Mayoralty Debates broadcast/available through Eastlink Television</ref> | |||
