Porygon-Z (ポリゴンZ, Porigon Zetto, PorygonZ in original Japanese language versions) are one of the fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar Pokémon media franchise—a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards, and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Porygon-Z in the games, anime, and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon—untamed creatures that characters encounter while embarking on various adventures— and tamed Pokémon creatures owned by Pokémon trainers.
Biological characteristics
Porygon-Z's appearance is similar to that of Porygon and Porygon2, which were supposedly earlier designs by Silph Co. The programming added to create Porygon-Z was intended to allow it to surpass all other Pokémon, but as a result, Porygon-Z began to exhibit odd behaviors. Porygon-Z appears similar to Porygon2, albeit darker in color, with various parts of anatomy arranged in different configurations, emphasizing it's upgrade from it's previous form. The dubious disk, an item which porygon2 uses to evolve comes from an unown company (rather than silph co.). Because it was never made by silph co. (or never tested), porygon-Z seems to be exhibiting it's unusal behaviors. it also seems that porygon-Z weighs less than porygon, but weighs more than porygon2. It's eye paterns could be a result of malfunctioning, or a better improvement to it's eye sight.

Trivia
- In Diamond and Pearl, Porygon-Z's battle animation shows the Pokémon glitching and doing something resembling a seizure, possibly a reference to the controversy surrounding its younger evolution.
