This article and Roto trilogy should be merged.
The hero of Dragon Warrior III of whom legends speak dropped from the heavens. In reality he came from the town of Aliahan and is the son of Ortega, a famous warrior who embarked on a quest to defeat the Demon King Baromos, but fell in the journey. Several of Erdrick's descendants also save the world and their stories are told in Dragon Warrior I and Dragon Warrior II. In the Japanese versions (Dragon Quest) and the Game Boy remakes Erdrick's name is Loto.
