Rex Gildo (July 2 1939 - October 26 1999), also known as Ludwig Alexander Hirtreiter, was a German singer.
He sang often with German-Danish singer Gitte Haenning, one of their best known songs is "Vom Stadtpark die Laternen".
In 1972 he had a huge hit with a song by Ralph Siegel, "Fiesta Mexicana (Hossa)".
In 1974 Rex Gildo married his cousin Marion Hirtreiter, but lived most time in homosexual relationships.
