Not only, further, did your nomination untowardly and unhelpfully focus on contributor rather than content, but, of course, it also, one need not to say, misstated rather significantly the observations of the ArbCom relative to Violet. I might expect that from someone who, as I, is a critic of our present BLP policy and an advocate for its being narrowly applied, but I'd imagine that someone who is greatly concerned (perhaps rightly) that we ensure that any sources we adduce actually go toward the propositions that we support with them and that we not misrepresent the whole of a person might be a bit more careful when referring to another individual, even a pseudonymous contributor. I really must, in truth, ask what you hoped to accomplish by mentioning Violet in your AfD nom. You are, to be sure, known as someone who is sometimes abrupt and in his terseness unintentionally offensive, and I, as you, have never seen anything significantly wrong with that, but here it seems you went out of your way to make reference to an editor in good standing, and I can't imagine why you thought that would prove constructive; if you wanted to suggest that the interpretation of policy rendered by the ArbCom in the BDJ case was on point here and counseled deletion (which, IMHO, it plainly doesn't), you might have done so without mentioning the tangentially involved Violet, no? ] 22:30, 23 July 2007 (UTC) | |||

- I am really not convinced I want to be a part of a project which gives any response other than "get lost" to blatant trolls like Rfwoolf. It's not even as if he is a clever troll, since he called my userpage quote a "revenge post" or some such - can there really be any tolerably-educated adult in the US or UK who would fail to recognise that quote? This needs to be solved
I have taken the "List of Companies" problem (what to do with an entire class of articles that get repeatedly submitted for deletion en mass?) for debate to two different places. This really needs to be solved once and for all (we can't keep debating the same stuff for eternity). Would you take a look at either the discussion on the Village Pump or the relevant wikiproject? Can I kindly request my being able to edit this article again. I'm not a vandal, the previous issue has been resolved in my opinion, and I would like to continue editing - in the first instance by adding an Infobox, for example.
