Rex Gildo (July 2 1939 - October 26 1999), also known as 'Sexy Rexy " was a German Schlager Balladeer selling many millions of Melodius Ballads during a career spanning over 30 years Rex Gildo was Germany's answer to Britain's great Cliff Richard.
He sang often with German-Danish singer Gitte Haenning, one of their best known songs is "Vom Stadtpark die Laternen". Rex also made numerous high quality romantic musical films.
