Hi, I just wanted to comment on some of the changes you made to the list of disco artists page. Some I agree with, and you seem to be knowledgeable particularly with dates - changing the dates to the release dates rather than the dates I used, which was when they charted, is more correct. I don't understand all the choices for deletion - some of the songs like the ABBA and Roxy Music ones, yes they are borderline. Not strictly disco, but containing elements of it, which is why I included them, but if you think they should not be there, I tend to agree. But some of the others .. Diana Ross's "Upside Down" and "My Old Piano" deleted while "I'm Coming Out" from the same album, writer and producer left on the list? And all of the Chic and Sister Sledge songs (same writer/producers/sound) still there. The songs are virtually identical. Likewise Boney M - I don't think they even recorded a song that wasn't disco, their entire catalogue could justifiably be on the list. Andy Gibb - "Shadow Dancing" and "An Everlasting Love" are more disco than many of the songs on the list but they've been deleted. The other two Gibb songs, were borderline as per my earlier comment. Other songs such as Yvonne Elliman's "Love Me" and Samantha Sang's "Emotion" I do think are indicative of the disco era - they might be slow disco, but they have exactly the same beats and instrumentation, it's only the tempo that differs. Just interested in your opinion. I believe several of the songs you deleted should be reinstated, but I'd just like to understand and agree upon what the criteria should be for inclusion on or exlusion from the list.
