== HAROLD CAMPING: JUST ANOTHER CHARLATAN MISINTERPRETING SACRED SCRIPTURE ==

How can Mr. Camping be correct about his teachings on the Church Age (that we are to "come out of the churches") given that the Bible expressly states that Jesus built His church on Peter, and "the gates of hell would not prevail against it"? How are we supposed to take his "reading of the Bible" seriously when he continues to contradict the Lord's teaching that "no man knows the date nor the hour" by repeatedly predicting the date of the end of the world?

Fact is, charlatans like Camping always claim to "just be reading the Bible" (as Mr. Camping does), but they employ strange interpretive techniques that actually twist Scripture away from its true meaning. David Koresh was "just reading the Bible" as well, but that doesn't mean he was teaching the truth, either. This is why the Lord gave us His Church (the one true Church), which by the grace of the Holy Spirit, gave us the Bible. The Church helps us understand the Scripture that the Lord gave us. People like Camping are not interested in this truth and would rather pretend that the Bible means whatever they personally believe it means.] 21:37, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

The Amazon review by Jeffrey N. Furtaw has nothing to do with Harold Camping, but wit the book "Shepherding a Child's Heart" about spanking infants with a rod. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kilowattradio (talkcontribs) 09:28, 7 March 2007.
