So Weird was a television series which first aired in January of 1999 and last aired in September of 2001 on Disney Channel, totaling three seasons. The series narrates the story of Molly Phillips, a former rock 'n roll star who abandoned her career after the death of her husband, who was also a musician in her band. Eleven years later, she decides to give her career another chance and travels with her family throughout the USA, playing with a new band.

Her daughter, Fiona (played by Cara DeLizia), was very interested in paranormal subjects and also seems to attrach such phenomena. The show's first two season were decidedly dark for a Disney show as we followed Fiona and her family around the country investigating various supernatural phenomena. Her primary motivation was discovering who or what from the realm of the supernatural had caused the death of her father. The search culminated in a confrontation between Fi and the forces of darkness in the Season 2 finale.

For the third season, a new main character played by Alexz Johnson, Annie Thelen, was introduced, who was similar in disposition toward the paranormal as Fiona while also possessing a wonderful singing voice. Fiona meanwhile, her search complete, moved to Seattle to live with her aunt and actres Delizia moved on to other projects.

Despite the series' success, it was cancelled by Disney on its 65th episode as is usual with Disney Original series. The show was often compared to a kids/teens version of The X-Files.

The show was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia.
